Christmas 2011

Christmas this year was Avery's 1st and a total blast for Sophia.  She is at a perfect age right now to enjoy it.  When I asked her what was on her list for Santa she would only tell me one thing, "A penguin pillow pet."  She never swayed.  When I asked her if she might want to think about putting a few things on a list it read:

1)  Penguin Pillow Pet

2)  Penguin grape lip gloss

3)  Penguin stuffed animal

4)  Penguin board game


When Christmas morning came around, Santa seemed to take note:

What cracked me up, besides her singular focus, is that when I was helping her spell out the words on her list she didn't want to write Love, Sophia, and rather From, Sophia.  I guess writing to a strange bearded man once a year didn't warrant 'Love.'  :)

It was such a joy to see her so happy and enjoy her gifts!

Sophia made us a very special painting at school for our Christmas gift.  They even made the wrapping paper with stamps. 

 Avery seemed to have a great day too!
