A family member, let's call her E, got married this summer. It was an amazing event - everything was thoughtful and deliberate, right down to the the smallest of details. To top it off, it was a beautiful day. And while Sophia is old enough now to hold her own and have a good time, Avery kept us on our toes. We did manage to squeeze in a few good laughs and beers in between running after him and changing diapers.

So the story of this picture requires some explanation as it is a picture of a picture: As part of the guestbook, each group of guests has their picture taken with a chalkboard, that gave some sort of advice for the newly married couple. We decided on the above and just as the camera clicked, Avery decided to put his finger up his nose. Serendipitous I suppose. That clinched the back of the Christmas card for 2013.
