My daughter is a good kid, but she can still throw a mean tantrum. Hers come in the form of verbal assaults. Today, when needing to get out the door in a hurry for a dance dress rehearsal when I wouldn't let her wear something she wanted in the car, she says the following in rapid succession (directed at me, of course):
"Your baby is NOT going to be cute!!"
"...and your eyes aren't pretty, either."
And a bit later;
"I'm going to vacuum up the audience."
I almost busted a gut. How's that for a verbal assault?? I think she is able to verbalize her feelings. I can't wait to hear the assaults at 13. At least I'll be somewhat prepared.
